Lance LoRusso is a litigator with a law enforcement background who focuses his practice on medical malpractice, healthcare law and catastrophic personal injury cases. He has argued and litigated cases before the Georgia Court of Appeals and the Georgia Supreme Court. Lance is involved with policy review and litigation planning for clients before and after litigation. His representation of healthcare systems, professional organizations and corporate clients has provided a broad range of expertise and earned him a reputation as an attorney committed to resolving complex client problems in a professional and cost efficient manner.
Lance serves as General Counsel to the Georgia Fraternal Order of Police as well as Lodge Attorney for Cobb County’s Lodge 13 of the Fraternal Order of Police. He also responds to critical incidents on behalf of law enforcement officers. Lance continues to serve the community as an instructor for Georgia police academies and handles pro bono appeals for the Cobb County Solicitor General’s Office as an Assistant Solicitor General. He is a certified hostage negotiator and was a member of the Georgia Governor’s Twenty, the top 20 police marksmen in Georgia, for six years.
Since 2000, Lance has been involved with the Georgia State Bar’s efforts to curb the unauthorized practice of law in Georgia. Currently, he serves as the Chair of the District 7 Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee. Additionally, he enjoys educating the public on legal topics. Lance writes professional journal and newsletter articles and speaks to business owners, healthcare professionals and risk managers at events such as annual meetings and conventions.

Lance enjoys coaching and judging mock trial competitions. His interests include hunting, camping and mountain biking. He resides in Marietta with his wife and two Labrador retrievers.
